Join Us On An Exhilarating Adventure
Prepare yourself for towering cliff systems, huge cave entrances, pristine wilderness areas and spectacular wildlife. Unlike traditional tours, Eco Quest Expeditions invites you to be part of a unique conservation effort. Tour fees directly support biodiversity conservation in Belize's Chiquibul forest, through our collaboration with Friends for Conservation and Development, a non-profit leader in conservation in Belize since the late 1990s. Take home memories of haunting natural beauty and the knowledge that your presence is helping to save threatened habitats and species in Belize. We promise to take you to areas rarely seen!
Monitoring the Magnificent Scarlet Macaw
Upper Macal River, Chiquibul National Park, Belize
Join Chiquibul National Park rangers and jungle experts on an exclusive day long expedition, among vistas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and Chiquibul forest. We will take a skiff down the winding upper Macal river and view macaws eating in the Quamwood trees, flying and nesting. Keep an eye out for crocodiles, tapirs and other wondrous bird life. You can assist rangers in monitoring these glorious birds and help ensure their future.
Monitor the Largest Cave System in Central America
Chiquibul Cave System, Cayo District, Belize
Concealed beneath the forest canopy, in the shadow of archaic rock walls, lies the Chiquibul Cave System, the longest known network of caves in Central America. Hike through lush primary forest; explore 4 caves; and view ancient Maya pottery that has been dormant in the darkness for over 2000 years.
Chiquibul Wildlife Expeditions
Bird watching, river floats, camping, caving...
Belize is famous for its geological features; caves, sink holes, peaks, and for its natural limestone arches carved and sculpted over millions of years. Our experienced staff are happy to help you design an unforgettable wilderness experience.
How You Make a Difference
Adventure fees support wilderness protection, conservation programs and scientific research in the spectacular Chiquibul National Park and Forest Reserve. Help protect these gifts of nature for future generations.
Your presence provides a disincentive to poachers who destroy Scarlet Macaw nests and capture baby birds for trade.
Conservation Awareness. By steeping yourself in the majesty and vulnerability of Belize's eco-systems we believe your adventure will advance conservation efforts in Belize and beyond.
